Claire (St. Don) Brackett, 65, of New Bedford, died November 16, 2010 in St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of Arthur E. Brackett for the past 13 years and wife of the late Richard Jarvis.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Napoleon and Emma (Watts) St. Don, she had been a lifelong resident of the city.
She was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School and had been a sales associate for several retailers most recently at Macy's in Dartmouth. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and shopping.
In addition to her husband she is survived by two daughters, Rachel Euzebio of W. Kingston, RI, Cheryl Jarvis of New Bedford, one son, Richard Jarvis, Jr. of Maumee, OH, two step-daughters Laurie Schiller of New Bedford, Judi Brackett of Fairhaven, one step-son Walter Brackett of Chicago, four grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and one great step-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Gladys Hebert.
Her Funeral will be held Monday, November 22, 2010 at 12 Noon in the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven. Visiting hours on Sunday 1-4pm. Burial in Long Plain Cemetery, Acushnet. For online tributes or directions: www.fairlawnmortuary.com
