Gottlieb, Claire age 86 died peacefully at her home in TriBeCa surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by Henry, her husband of 52 years and son Roger. Graduate of Syracuse University. Claire was a well loved Kindergarten teacher in the Freeport School system for many years. She was the most wonderful wife, mother, nana, aunt, and sister in the universe. Survived by her sister Renee Kosminsky, daughters Wendy Gottlieb and Hildy Gottlieb Hill (Walter), grandchildren Jennifer (Steve), Ian, Alissa, Jesse, Jo, and Miranda, great grandchildren Jett and Owen. Donations to MJHS Hospice www.mjhshospice.org will be appreciated.

Claire was a wonderful friend to our parents, Paul and Elaine Butkereit. She was the most thoughtful and caring person. We are so very sorry for your loss. Joan and Paul Thomas Butkereit (Lynbrook, N.Y.)

Claire and Henry were wonderful neighbors and friends for over thirty years. I will miss Claire very much. My condolences to the extended Gottlieb family.
