Claire Wray passed away in Ventura, California, on April 5, 2013. She was born in Los Angeles on June 18, 1929, to Louis and Eleanor Godat, and grew up in Long Beach. Claire married Jack Wray in 1948. In 1957, they moved to Los Alamitos where they lived for more than 50 years, raising their family and supporting school and community activities. They were long-time members of the Long Beach First Baptist Church and later of the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Los Alamitos until retiring to the Ventura area a few years ago.
She is survived by her husband Jack; sons, Tim and Mark; grandchildren, John, Jason, Christopher, Sarah, and Mark; and great-grandchildren Jack, Natalie, and James. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacki Lee Wray.
Two services will be held for Claire. A memorial service will take place on Friday, April 12, 10:00 A.M. at the Bonaventure Clubhouse, 10949 Telegraph Road, Ventura, CA 93004. A funeral service for friends in the Long Beach and Los Alamitos area will take place on Saturday, April 13, 10:00 A.M. at the Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, 11600 Los Alamitos Blvd, Los Alamitos, CA 90720, followed by interment at Westminster Memorial Park.
