"Our Queen Mother," Bernie Jubb, born August 18, 1933, passed away on February 10, 2013. Bernie loved traveling with her family, shopping with her daughters, baking bread and making jam, bingo, reading, crossword puzzles and the Detroit Tigers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Irma (Giffels) Lowe, husband, Roy, infant daughter, Debra Sue, and four precious grandchildren. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kathy (Perry) Haines, Julie (Jack) Harris, Lois (Bernie) Coonrod, Joyce (Dennis) Reed, Sharon Jubb, Sandy (Scott) Beardsley and Sarah (Chad) Ouellette. Sons, Tom (Darlene), Dan (Sandy), Jerry (Katy), John, Ronnie (Annetta) and Dennis (Josie); dozens and dozens of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters and many loving friends. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13 at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes DeWitt Chapel, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
