Clarence D. "Doug" Culpepper, age 86 of Parma passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013
at Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, Michigan. He was born April 7, 1926 to Eddie Patrick and Marguarite H.(Smith) Culpepper in Battle Creek, Michigan. On September 1, 1945 in Parma he was
married to Phyllis V. Hill for 64 years, she preceded him in death May 4, 2010.
Doug lived in Parma since 1936. He served in the Navy during WWII from April 17, 1943- February 14, 1945 as a TM1C (Torpedo-man) where he received points i.e. Victory Ribbon and Asiatic-Pacific. He worked for Bob Frahm Chevrolet in Albion where he retired. He was a master mechanic for 42 years. Doug was a Lieutenant with the Parma-Sandstone Fire Department for 46 years. He enjoyed to garden, play cards, bowling, golf, playing pool in his earlier years. He
loved to take care of his lawn and his cats, he loved his family and friends very much.

Friends Florence Warren of Battle Creek, Sandra Robertson of Battle Creek, Mike & Judy Horton and
Mary Mattice who we would like to thank for all the food they brought to dad after mother passed away.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Bertha Culpepper, wife Phyllis, brothers, Gilbert and Bruce; son-in-law Jack W. Tillar.
According to his wishes, Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held on
Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Parma Cemetery, Parma Twp., Michigan.
