CHAPIN – Funeral services for Claude Jacob Cannon, 85, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Bethel Lutheran Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Chapin Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 367, White Rock, SC 29177.
Mr. Cannon was born February 16, 1927 in Lexington County, SC and passed away on Monday, July 2, 2012. He was a son of the late Rufus Cannon and Rosa Belle Rauch Cannon. Mr. Cannon was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
Mr. Cannon is survived by his daughters, Kathy Frick (Don) and Tina Huffstetler (Alan); sons James Cannon (Nancy) and Danny Cannon (Ingrid) all of Chapin; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Dorothy Long of Prosperity. He was predeceased by his wife, Willie Mae McCartha Cannon; granddaughter, MacKenzie Huffstetler; three brothers and one sister.
