Clyde L. Carruthers, 86 of Beverly Hills, Florida died on Thursday, February 21, 2013. He was born on Saturday, November 20, 1926 in Akron, Ohio to Lyle and Fritz (Boehme) Carruthers. Clyde joined the US Navy, when he was seventeen years old during WWII and served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Clyde was a controller, retired from the Wrisco Corporation in Ohio and moved to this area ten years ago from Jupiter, Florida. He enjoyed music and was a member of the Beverly Hills Chorus.
Clyde was preceded in death by his grandson, Christopher Carruthers.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Ruth Ogle Carruthers of Beverly Hills, Florida; son, Craig Carruthers of Snellville, Georgia; daughter, Tara Ishaya of Virginia Beach, Florida; sister, Kathleen Lowrey of Akron, Ohio and grandchildren, Michael and Max Schar of Virginia Beach, Florida and Kevin and Nicholas Carruthers of Akron, Ohio.
A Memorial Service of Remembrance will take place at the Family of Faith United Methodist Church on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in Akron, Ohio.
