To my beloved wife, friend, counselor and the best Mom anyone could ever ask for. The beginning of our relationship, back in 1978, started off as the best of friends, which stemmed off to our marriage. During the late 70's, we loved to just enjoy each other's company, kicking back listening to records, well back then "CD's" were out, but disco was in. We were very good disco dancers. Dancing with Cruz was some of the best moments in my life. Although there were many, many happy moments. She was a with child, to which I fell in love with, and that would become my daughter Lenore Fuentes. They appeared to me as Angels in my life. In the beginning what I thought to be the worst in my life, turned out to the Blessings of my life. Together we made a mandatory pact to be the best parents we could be. So as time went on, she conceived our other daughter, Elisha, another blessing to our lives. For the that moment we were staying with family members and then we finally got out on our own establishing our very own cottage, very small, on Lincoln Street. We were very pleased to have it. Going to school and both of us working odd jobs for sister, who we loved dearly; and Cruz was very close to Rose Jimenez. God rest her soul! She helped us with our start, so as time went on, she conceived our son Michael, which put me on the map with my mother-in-law. She gave me a handsome son that we were very proud to have. Cruz Adames, was one of the most organized clean and sterile women, I have ever known. She was a very good homemaker and mother raising my kids. As time again passed on me, she gave me another son, Daniel Jr. Known as our miracle baby, he survived birth being pre-mature. They did not think he was going to make it due to being very small. But with his mother's loving care, he made it through and with our miracle baby, we are now a family of six. Cruz Adames I can say beat cancer, radiation and diabetes sickness and went this long of a life for us. Among other things, she was always helping family and friends, she loved collecting "Angels". She was loving then, and she is loved now. She will forever be loved in this World and the next, until we are all together again.
God blessed us with you Mom. Although your with the Lord now you will always be in my heart. Thank you for always being here for me. You were my momma when I was a baby, my best friend when I got older, and now you are my Angel for all time. I take comfort now, knowing we loved each other and spent a lot of time together.
