Cruz E. Gomez, 85 was born in Glendale, Arizona on February 10, 1927 to Jesus and Guadalupe B. Gomez and went to be with the Lord on November 10, 2012 in Hanford, California.
Cruz was a devoted and loving mother, very protective of her children. While raising her children; she worked many years as a farm laborer. Financially there were tough times, but her love was undoubtedly expressed and the needs of her children were always taken care of.
She was energetic, had a sense of humor and enjoyed to dance. She believed in keeping family together and stressed the importance to love one another. Her most greatest desire was to be surrounded by her children and family.
Cruz is preceded by her son Nick Sandoval, and many loved ones.
Cruz is survived by her children; Cecilia Victoria, Richard Sandoval, Margaret McMillan, Jesse Sandoval, Lupe Garrison, Cleofas Sandoval, Dolores Sandoval, and Raquel Zuniga, 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. at People's Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-5591. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today, Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; 10355 Hanford-Armona Road, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-8576 with Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery; 11680 S. 10th Avenue, Hanford, CA 93230 559-584-3937.
