Dorothy L. Barras, 88 of Fort Smith passed away Monday, April 25, 2011. She was born September 13, 1922 in Russellville. She was a member of the Arkansas Retired Military Association Women's Auxiliary, a former employee of Weldon, Williams, & Lick and a retired receptionist from Mr. John's. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph and one son John Polinskey, Jr.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
She is survived two sons: Michael Barras of Van Buren and Joel Polinskey of Houston, TX; six grandchildren: John and Michael Polinskey, Selena Lee, Paula, Robert, and John Williams. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren and best friend and niece Helen Banks.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Mr. John's.
Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the funeral home.
