Daisy Edna McMillan Barker

Daisy Edna McMillan Barker, 68, of Martinsville, died Sunday, November 15, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Martinsville.

She was born in Martinsville, on July 6, 1941, to, Iva Mae McMillan. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee "Doug" Barker, Sr.; a daughter, Norma Jean Barker and two sons, Harry L. Barker, Jr. and Jerry Barker.

Surviving are two daughters, Janice Warren of Murfreesboro, TN, and Sandra Bowman of Midland, Michigan, a son, Jesse Barker of Ridgeway, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Martinsville Chapel with the Rev. J. D. Harmon officiating. Interment will follow in the Barker Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends, Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Homes and other times at the home of Jesse Barker, 2732 King's Mill Road in Ridgeway.
