Dale Williamson Armstrong, wife of J. Mabre Armstrong, left this world to join the Lord she loved on Wednesday, February 23. Born in 1923, Mrs. Armstrong was a lifelong Chattanoogan. She and Mabre observed their 69th wedding anniversary on December 21.
Dale was a devout Christian, loved the word of God and had memorized innumerable passages of Scripture. Dale taught Bible in the Chattanooga City Schools for several years. She reached out to many with Christian love and will be fondly remembered.
A 1941 graduate of Chattanooga City High School, she had patience in learning new things and was skilled at working in crafts, including stained glass.
Mrs. Armstrong will be missed by three Sons, Charles, Randy and Gary Armstrong; five grandchildren, Scott, Bryan, Anna and Cory Armstrong and Jennifer Krueger and two great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Wesley Armstrong.
The family will receive friends Friday from 4 PM to 8 PM at North Chapel. Services will be held Saturday at 2 PM at North Chapel with Rev. Garry Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
