Darlene Roberts Kelley, 62, went to be with the Lord Monday April 7th.
She was born to the Late Sam and Doris Roberts, April 24 1952 in Baton Rouge, LA. She graduated with honors from Robert E. Lee high school Montgomery, AL. She married Michael D. Kelley in 1985 and they lived together in Montgomery, AL.
Darlene was a Merle Norman cosmetic studio owner for over 20 years. She owned the location in Le Croy Shopping Village and relocated to Montgomery Mall where she retired in 1997.
She was a member of Christ Community Church in Montgomery AL. She loved to listen to worship and an avid prayer warrior. She loved her Lord and sharing her testimony with others. She was an active supporter or TBN and with her husband a member of Christians United for Israel.
Darlene is survived by her husband, Michael D. Kelley and son Michael D. Kelley II, Montgomery, AL; three sisters: Leslie Tinch, Montgomery, Al; Marcia Hawkins, Montgomery, AL; and Melissa Buchanan, Montgomery, AL; and three brothers: Bobby Hawkins, Montgomery, AL; Larry Hawkins, Montgomery, AL; and Michael Hawkins, Birmingham, AL.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to John Hagee Ministries/Christians United for Israel.
A viewing will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at Christ Community Church, service at the church at 2:00. Burial will be held after the service at Greenwood Cemetery. Reception to follow after the burial at the church.
