Capt. David W. Adams – A native of Mobile, and resident of Saraland, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012 in a local hospital. He retired from Saraland Fire Department after 35 years of service. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise Seibert Adams, and George and Marie Hergenroder; brother, Steve Hergenroder; and sister, Colleen Adams. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharon R. Adams; son, Kristopher "K.W." (Candice) Adams; daughter, Tara Michele Adams; father, W.L. Adams; six brothers, Ronnie (Barbara) Hergenroder, Les (Cecelia) Hergenroder, Dan (Deborah) Hergenroder, Larry (Marie) Hergenroder, Vince (Christy) Hergenroder, and Wayne (Judy) Adams; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paris and Fay Waltman; three grandchildren, Riley and Kylie Lambert, and Kollin Adams; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. prior to services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the USA Children's and Women's Hospital NICU.
