David R. Asplund, age 81, of Duluth, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 at Bayshore Health Center.
He was born October 12, 1929 in Minneapolis, to Rupert and Lynda Asplund. On September 22, 1977 David married Gladys Maryann Johnson at Pilgrim Congregational Church. David retired from D.W.P. Railroad after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by his parents and in 2009, his wife Gladys.
David is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Bailey; three granddaughters, Roseann Bailey, Laura (Harry) Pressley and Lisa Bailey; seven great-grandchildren.
