David Ray Atkinson, 50, passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 13, 2012 at his home in Shallotte, NC.
David was the son of Sarah Watkins Atkinson and Rayford Lee Atkinson. He is also survived by his wife Lois Long Atkinson; one son, David Ray Atkinson II; two brothers, Scott and Jim Atkinson; and three sisters, Christina Atkinson, Faith Hood, and Charity Atkinson.
David was truly loved and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered always.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 at The Bridge Baptist Church in Shallotte, NC. In lieu of flowers, contributions to final expenses may be made to Sarah Atkinson, 455 Ridge Ct., Warrenton, VA 20186.
