Reverend Deacon Joseph Nolan Comeaux, Sr., 79, a native of Delcambre, Louisiana and resident of Berwick, Louisiana, died at 1:41 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, in Morgan City.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Prosperie Comeaux of Montegut, Louisiana; 7 children: Robin Comeaux Bonvillain, Sharon Comeaux,
Joseph Comeaux, Jr., Tina Comeaux, John Comeaux, Tonya Comeaux Broussard and Josel Comeaux Domangue; 12 grandchildren:
Nicole Lirette Cantrelle, Nicholas Bonvillain, Sarah Comeaux, Hannah Comeaux, Gabriel Comeaux, Seth Comeaux, Kristen Broussard,
Katlin Broussard Daigle, Michael Broussard, Joshua Domangue and Taylor Domangue; 2 great grandchildren: Jadyn Domangue and
He is preceeded in death by his parents, Bellus and Lelia Comeaux, his brothers, Warren and Russel Comeaux and his nephew Kevin
He was a retired Regional Gas Lift Sales Manager for Halliburton. After retirement, he pursued his Deaconship for the Diocese of Lafayette,
Louisiana. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6170 in Houma, Louisiana where he served as Grand Knight in 1980 and was
State K.C. Squire Chief Counselor and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 7084 of Berwick, Louisiana.
He was a most loving and compassionate husband, father, grandfather and friend. He dedicated his life to God and his community, served his
St. Stephen's Catholic Church parishoners in Berwick, Louisiana. Through example, he lived by his faith in Jesus Christ. He will be greatly missed
by all who knew him and we were truly BLESSED to have him in our lives! His journey is over here on earth, but his GLORIOUS ETERNAL JOURNEY HAS JUST BEGUN!!!
Visitation will Friday June 28, 2013 at Hargrave Funeral Home beginning at 6 pm until 10 pm. Continuing Saturday June 29, 2013 at St Stephens Catholic Church in Berwick, at 9 am until 11 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 am at St. Stephens Catholic Church. Burial will be in Houma at The St. Francis De Sale Cemetery.
