Debra Wood Smith, 58, passed away Monday, February 11, 2013 after a long illness. She was born December 10, 1954 in Gaston County to Dan and Joyce Hendricks Wood. Debra was a loving mother, devoted wife and grandmother.
Debra is survived by her husband, Grady Smith of Dallas; son, Jason Carpenter (Jennifer) of Iron Station, NC, daughter, Amber Carpenter of Dallas; father, Dan Wood of Gastonia; grandson, Hunter Boyd.
Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Lindberg and grandparents, John and Louise Hendricks.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, February 15 at Dallas Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
