Dell A. Andrews of Peculiar, MO, died November 23, 2009. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, at St. Sabina Catholic Church, 700 Travis Street Belton Mo. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. continuing with lunch immediately following at the church. An Inurnment service with Military Honors will be at 3:00 p.m. in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Dell was born August 19, 1927, in Kansas City, MO. He was the son of Vern and Jean Andrews. Dell was in the U.S. Navy. He served during the Korean War. He was a resident of Grain Valley MO. Dell enjoyed living and fishing many years at The Lake of the Ozarks. He then moved to Peculiar MO. He worked and retired from the CMST PEP Milwaukee Road. Dell was a 50-year member and past commander for the American Legion of Blue Springs, MO, Post 499. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 5675 in Odessa, MO, and a Charter member of the Osage Elks Lodge # 2705 in Mo. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and one brother Jack Andrews. Survivors include his adoring wife, Olga Andrews, Peculiar, MO; stepsons, William Dunn, Long Island, NY, Richard Dunn, Warrensburg, MO; and one step daughter, Vanessa Coakley Belton, MO; 9 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Wanda Andrews, Silver Lake, KS; nephew, Mike Andrews, Topeka, KS; niece, Terry Basham, Blue Springs, MO; great nephew, Nathan Andrews.
