Delphina Cadena, 89, born Oct. 20, 1920 in Rancho Camulos, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 in Piru.
She is survived by her son, Richard Cadena of Piru, and Janet Cadena of Fillmore; her grandsons, Rick Cadena, Jr. (Cindy) of Fillmore, Michael Cadena (Michelle) of Los Angeles, Joshua Cadena of Santa Clarita, Jeanie Carter of Santa Clarita; great-grandchildren, Joshua, David, Janaey, Ricky III, Madeline, Christian and Cameron; brother, Jesus Molina of Piru, Robert Molina and Tony Aguirre Jr., whom she helped raise; and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked at Piru Citrus Association for 20 years. She loved cooking for her son and grandsons. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus; sister, Lucy; brothers, Procopio, Jose, Guadalupe, Benjamin; and niece, Barbara Real. Rosary will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 26, with Funeral Mass immediately to follow at San Salvador Mission Church in Piru. Interment to follow at Piru Cemetery in Piru. In lieu of flowers, donations to Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurses Assn. and Hospice, 1996 Eastman Ave. #101, Ventura, CA 93003.
