Diane Richardson Lanier (49) of St Augustine, FL passed away 11/13/12 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a graduate of Georgia Southern University and was a member of Phi Mu Fraternity. She had worked for GMAC for 19 years. She was an active member of the Mandarin Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her father, Samuel C. Richardson, Jr. and her mother, Shirley Wells Johnston. She is survived by her loving husband of 27 yeras, Ben Larry Lanier, Jr (Benjy), her sons, Justin Matthew (Andria) and Logan Marshall, and her daughter Alexa Ann Lanier, her brother Samuel Charles (Darlene) Richardson, III, her sister, Teresa (Henry) Horne and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 6 to 8 pm on 11/15/12, at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home in Mandarin with a celebration of life service at the Mandarin Baptist Church on 11/16/12 at 10:00 am with the Rev. Bill Yeldell officiating. Burial will be at the Elam Baptist Cemetery in Millen, GA at 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mandarin Baptist Church of the Earl B. Hadlow Community Hospice Center.
