Betty Diane Mothershed, age 64, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on January 28, 2013 after a long battle with breast cancer.
Diane was a strong Christian woman and a member of Concord Baptist Church. Her greatest compliment was when a lady in her Bible Study Group called Diane her "mentor and Christian inspiration"!
A native of Chickasaw, Alabama, Diane is survived by her husband of almost 45 years, J. Russell Mothershed; two daughters, Jayme Mothershed and Cindy Carter; son-in-law Jeff Carter; three grandsons, Hunter Lyons, and Aidan and JAC Carter; brother James Norsworthy; sister-in-law, Betty Lou Norsworthy; two sisters, Alice Blow and Louise Kinloch; sister-in-law, Kay Lankford and brother-in-law, Gary Lankford and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Diane was born in Mobile, Alabama on
January 24, 1949 and was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Ruby Norsworthy and her brother, John Norsworthy. Diane never met a stranger and will always be remembered for her sweet smile and loving heart. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on January 31, 2013 at Radney's Funeral Home in Saraland, Alabama. A memorial service will be held at Radney's on February 1, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Larry Boyles and Pastor Jeff Spiller officiating.
