Domenic "Dom" Africo, 58, of Providence, passed away August 7, 2011 at the V.A. Medical Center after
a brief illness with his daughter at his side.
Born in Providence on July 22, 1953, he was the son of the late Nicola and Josephine (Mento) Africo.
Domenic was a pipefitter by trade, previously working for Allied Fire Protection and Cabco Industries Inc., among others.
He leaves one daughter, Melanie (Africo) Green of Providence; one sister, Grace "Marie" Terrizzi of Providence; and two grandchildren, Tayler and Sydney Green. He also leaves a niece and nephew, along with 3 great-nieces.
Visitation will be held Friday, 4-6 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 6 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Interment will be private.
