Donald George Bennett, age 65, formerly of Oshkosh and Rhinelander, Wisconsin passed away Friday afternoon, July 8, 2011, returning home to Goodman, Wisconsin. He was born March 24, 1946, in Rhinelander, son of the late William and Violet (Durkee) Bennett.
Don is survived by his wife of 22 years, Joy (Heckler) Bennett; son, Donald W. (Bobbie) Bennett of Rhinelander; daughters, Lisa Bacon and Stacey (Duane) Williams of Jacksonville, Fla. and Kate (Mike) Bennett of Green Bay, Wisconsin; sisters, Arcelia (Crupi) Keller of Appleton, Wisconsin and Vicki (Jack) Shubert of California; two nephews; eight neices; seven grandchildren and a circle of dear, life-long friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Freeman Bennett, Sr.
A celebration of Don's life will be Friday, July 15, 2011 at Hildebrand Russ Funeral Home from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. Inurnment will follow at Forest Home Cemetery.
