Donato Ameruoso of Pomona, NY, born in NYC on June 27, 1936, passed away on May 6, 2012. He is survived by his wife, Jean, son Daniel and daughter Donna Mihok, wife of Stephen D. Mihok; and cherished grandson Stephen Michael. He is also survived by his sister Mary Barmonde of Astoria, NY and Rose Buquicchio of Wantagh, Long Island. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter Lisa Ameruoso in 2009. He is an avid member of the Haverstraw Elks Lodge. Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-5pm & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, 10am, at St. Anthony's Shrine, Nanuet, NY.
