DONNA M. BARRACO

Donna M. Barraco, age 71, of Oregon, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Toledo, on August 25, 1942, to Clayton and Louise (Czupich) Grodi. Donna was a devoted nurse for Flower Hospital, as well as St. Charles Hospital before retiring. She took pride in caring for her patients, as if they were her own family members. In her spare time you could find her in a book reading or with a pen in her hand writing, but most of all she cherished the times she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she absolutely loved and adored.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; children, Cherie (Robert) Wisniewski, Bobbi (Ron) Wiegand, Robbin (Art) Munoz, Marc (Tracy) Barraco, and John Barraco; eleven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 1-4pm & 6-8pm in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home 701 N. Main St. Walbridge (419-666-3121) where funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to The American Diabetes Association. Thoughts and prayers to the family may be made at www.witzlershank.com.

Donna loved to send letters to everyone and just say Hi or see how you were doing. She loved to visit with my mom and enjoyed chatting with her over coffee. Prayers for Robert and family at this difficult time. Love Kathy

Donna's letters always included an encouraging word. Many times she would trace her hand on the back of the notebook paper. When I visited up north, Donna would invite me over for coffee and coffee cake. They were served with a smile.
