89, of Mesa, AZ was born August 19, 1924 in Haynes, North Dakota, and passed away peacefully on February 13, 2014. Dorabel was a devoted mother and wife and will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her son Douglas P. Daley and was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Duane B. Daley, and two sons Bruce and James.
She was raised in Prescott and Florence, Arizona from the age of 2.
Dorabel was an only-child and she thought it was great. She rode horses and sometimes even rode a horse to school. She graduated from Florence High School where she was a majorette and in 1946 earned a degree in Food and Nutrition from the University of Arizona.
Dorabel worked as an escrow officer prior to managing the accounting and payroll activities of the family farm and businesses. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling with friends and spending time at the family cabin in Pinetop.
At Dorabel's request, her ashes will be dispersed in the same location of her beloved Duane. Contributions in Dorabel's honor may be directed to Arizona FFA, PO Box 33455, Phoenix, AZ 85067 (Please note Dorabel's name in the memo line).
