Doris (Louise) Hood Adcock, 77, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida passed away August 6, 2010 after suffering a massive heart attack. She was born June 3, 1933 in Norden, Nebraska the daughter of the late Jesse Hood and Freda (Emry) Hood. Louise attended high school in Ainsworth, Nebraska and graduated with the class of 1950.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Hood in 1998. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Richard Adcock of Jacksonville Beach; son, Cecil (Pam) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter, Marquetta Cahall of Tampa, FL; granddaughter, Brooke (James) Schamber of Evanston, IL; grandson, Daniel (Andrea) Vincer of Oakland Park, FL; brother, Hubert (Ann) Hood of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Cleo (Don) Cooper of Denair, CA; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles locally in Ainsworth, NE.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, Florida 32225. Inurnment services will be held at a later date in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
