Doris Ann Scruggs Allred of Memphis passed away March 25, 2012 at her home. She was a member of Bartlett United Methodist Church. Doris was a graduate of Peabody High School in Trenton, TN in 1950; she attended Memphis State University and worked various jobs as a bookkeeper and retired from Union Avenue Baptist church as a financial secretary. She married Richard "Dick" C. Allred on September 4, 1954 in Memphis, TN. Doris was preceded in death by her parents John and Annie Scruggs. She is survived by her husband, Richard "Dick" C. Allred; son, Rick Allred of Memphis; daughter, Cathy Allred Mitchell (Alan) of Woodstock, GA and granddaughter, Jenna Lee Mollman of Orlando, FL. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 28 from 12 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens on Germantown Rd.
