A funeral service celebrating the life of Doris W. Mills, 78, of West Columbia, S.C. will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, January 8, 2010 at Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, 3050 Leaphart Road, West Columbia, S.C. with a visitation to follow at Noon in Woodridge Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1p.m. in Woodridge Memorial Park with interment to follow. The family has entrusted Woodridge Funeral Home with the arrangements.
Mrs. Mills passed away on Wednesday, January 6, 2010. She was born in Bennettsville (Marlboro County), SC to the late Arthur McDuffie and Nell McDuffie. Mrs. Mills was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Mills.
Surviving are her son, Mark Whitman; two sisters, Bea Matthews and Virginia Williamson; two brothers, Charlie Arthur McDuffie and Fletcher McDuffie.
