Dorothea M. Reese, 95, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Lutheran Life Villages. She was born September 27, 1917 in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Charles and Sarah (Hottler) Wells. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed watching her favorite teams, I.U. Basketball and the Cubs. She is survived by her daughters, Amaryllis "Amy" (Jerry) Snyder and Pamela (Gary) Sauter, both of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Steven (Cindy) Snyder, Stephanie (Brian) Ruhl, Christopher Snyder, Tammy (Dennis McManama) Castleberry, and Denise Barnes; five great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 76 years, Ralph G. Reese on January 1, 2013; and two sisters, Juanita Chalfant and Ailene Tucker. Funeral service is Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809 with visitation 2 hours prior. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to Brightstar.
