Dorothy Brinkley Ange, 92, died Tuesday January 22, 2013 at Martin General Hospital. The memorial service will be held Thursday at 7:30 PM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs Ange was born in Hertford County on September 27, 1920, daughter of the late Charles Bruce Brinkley and Selma Craft Brinkley Hofler. She was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Dean Ange and a sister Hazel Stephan.
She was employed by Martin County Community Acton in the Head Start program as a Lead Teacher until her retirement.
She is survived by daughters Camellia Lee and husband Russell of Plymouth and Susan Tripp and husband Steve of Ayden, sister Helen Hofler Pierce of Sunbury, grandchildren Charles Lee and wife Delaine of Fuquay Varina, Ingrid Lee and partner Tonya Graves of Columbia SC, Amy Tripp of Greenville, and Robert Tripp of Wilmington, great grandchildren Aubrey Lee, Olivia Lee, Owen Lee, and Kylee Lee, special friends of Miss Dot Jamie Marie Knox and Kimberly Harrell.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 7:30 PM Thursday at Biggs Funeral Home.
