Dorothy M. Applegate, 88, of South Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on April 25, 2012. She was born in Burlington Township, New Jersey, and lived in Seaside Heights and West Creek before moving to South Toms River in 1943. Her greatest joy was her family.
Mrs. Applegate was predeceased by her son Thomas B Applegate in 2011, and her beloved husband Carmon in 1983. She is survived by her sons Carmon W. Applegate, and Richard P. Applegate, both of South Toms River; her daughter Diane M. Applegate, also of South Toms River; seven grandchildren: Lisa, Dennis, Marc, Kimberly, Brian, Richard, and Julie; and 15 great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by them.
Visitation will be Friday, April 27th, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Services will be on Saturday at 10AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Toms River, NJ.
