Dorothy G. Bollie, 94, of Story City and formerly of Ames, died Monday, April 25, 2011. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 29 at 1:30 p.m. at Bethany Manor in Story City. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Madrid.
Dorothy Bollie was born June 25, 1916 in McGregor, Iowa to Lemuel and Agnes (Hohman) Allen. She married Paul Bollie on August 7, 1936. They farmed near Madrid. She also had been employed by Bourns in Ames.
She loved to piece quilts, sew and collect dolls.
She is survived by three children, Paul (Karen) Bollie of Madrid, Gary Bollie of Texas, and Marilyn (David) Wheeler of Roland; eight grandchildren; sixteen great- grandchildren; and one great- great- granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Robert Bollie, and brother, Arnold Allen.
