Dorothy J. Esckilsen, age 79, died January 28, 2012. She was born January 31, 1933 in Clinton County, MI to John and Lucy (Lang) Feldpausch.
Dorothy retired from the State of MI after 33 years of service. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved the casino. She also enjoyed hamburger night at the Dewitt VFW and Sunday breakfast at the Laingsburg American Legion with her friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Jack Esckilsen, Frank Keck; and son, Jack James Esckilsen.
Surviving are her daughter, Jean (Mike) Pingston; son, Mark Esckilsen; 8 grandchildren, Mark Joseph Eskilsen, John Matthew (Gina) Esckilsen, Daniel Edward Esckilsen, Andrew Jack Tolliver (Katie Oliver), Samantha Ann Tolliver, Jeremy Jay Tolliver, Samye Jo Lipscomb (Adam), Michael C.P. Pingston (Brittany); 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Janet (Dave) Folkens; and special friend, Dick Daymon.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Gorsline Runciman Funeral Homes, 205 E. Washington, DeWitt, MI 48820, with Rev. Dick Preston officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:00 PM.
