Enedina Chacon Aguilar, born Oct. 18, 1916 in Ventura, died April 26, 2012, in Roseville, Calif.
Daughter of David and Guadalupe Chacon. She married Abel Garcia Aguilar (deceased) Oct. 4, 1957.
Devoted mother of six children: Gil C. Aguilar, David C. Aguilar, Abel C. Aguilar, Jess C. Aguilar, Ruth Marie Aguilar Gonzales, Henry C. Aguilar, and grandmother to 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren into sixth generation.
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died in her sleep after a short bout with pneumonia in her home at the age of 95. Enedina had been cared for by her daughter Ruth M. Gonzales in Roseville, Calif. Enedina's long, wonderful life was filled with an abundance of love, joy and laughter. She was the eldest of eight children, all of whom preceded her in death.
During her lifetime Enedina had much success as a business owner, rancher, farmer; she also worked for Hublein and retired from 3M in 1984.
Viewing 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, May 3, at Conrad's and James Reardon Mortuary in Oxnard and funeral 12 noon Friday, May 4, at St. Anthony's Church. Interment will be at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park in Ventura.
