Earl T. Anthony, age 82, of Crown Point, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janice; three children: Raymond Anthony of Highland, Renee (Scott) Gillespie of Belding, MI and Tom (Cami) Anthony of Monument, CO; ten grandchildren: Matthew, Caleb, Abigail, Josiah, Destiny, Luke, Lydia, Joshua, Levi and Kyle; two sisters: Phyllis (late Howard) Gescheidler of Hammond and Clara (Sigmund) Hanus of Munster; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Anthony was preceded in death by his parents: Earl and Isabelle Anthony. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY at Suncrest Christian Church, 10009 Parrish Ave., Crown Point, IN with Pastor Greg Lee officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (one-half mile south of US 30) Schererville, IN. Mr. Anthony was retired from Inland Steel in East Chicago and was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He attended Suncrest Christian Church in Crown Point and was a graduate of Hammond High School-class of 1947. Mr. Anthony enjoyed golf, pinochle and IU basketball games. Earl loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
