Earleen June Compton passed away in her sleep on Sunday, March 27, 2011, in Englewood, Colo. She was born in Pratt, Kansas on August 20, 1918 and was preceded by the death of her husband Philip Compton in 2002. They are survived by two sons, Richard Allen of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Gerald Lee of Centennial, Colo.; along with five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Earleen served her community well by volunteering many hours at Parkview Hospital, Colorado State Hospital and Ft. Lyons Veterans Hospital during a 40 year span. She also has been a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Pueblo for 74 years, holding various positions.
