Edmund E. Bethke, age 101 of Marlin entered into rest Sunday, April 18, 2010. Services will be 10 A. M. Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lewis Wunderlich officiating. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Adams Funeral Home.
Mr. Bethke was born September 24, 1908 in Otto, Texas to Edmund Otto and Annie Schraeder Bethke. He was a farmer and a lifelong resident of Falls County. He was a long time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Marlin where he served as a trustee and secretary-treasurer for many years. Mr. Bethke loved to tend his garden and do carpentry work. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Wegwerth Bethke, brothers, Alvin Bethke and Herbert Bethke, sisters, Hilda Komar and Emma Quiram and his parents.
