Edna A. (Burns) Bertoncini, age 82, of Fall River, died Sunday, October 31, 2010 in the Hallmark Nursing Home in New Bedford. She was the wife of the late Frank L. Bertoncini.
Born in North Attleboro, a daughter of the William and Doris (Pitts) Burns, she spent her youth in Attleboro and was a long time resident of Fall River.
In addition to being a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by two sons, Louis Bertoncini and his wife Nancy of Fall River, and John Bertoncini of Fall River, four grandchildren Carissa, Ashley, Brian, and Jeffrey Bertoncini and one great granddaughter Kayla Bertoncini.
Her Funeral will be held Thursday, November 4, 2010 at 9:00AM from the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE 178 Winter St. Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00AM in Holy Rosary Church 120 Beattie St. Fall River. Visiting hours Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00PM. Memorial Contributions in her honor may be made to the Rev. Vincent F. Diaferio Scholarship Fund c/o St. Mary's Cathedral 327 Second St. Fall River, MA 02721. Burial in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
