Edward Louis Allen, 73, died Saturday, July 10, 2010, at home with his family by his side. Mr. Allen was a graduate of the City College of New York. He served as a captain in the U. S. Army and worked in the computer field for many years, retiring from Carreker Corp. in 2005. He was an aviation enthusiast and licensed pilot who, in 1992, founded Air Venture Flying Club at Olive Branch Airport. Mr. Allen was an avid golfer and bowler. As an active member of Corvette Memphis, he enjoyed car shows and cruise-ins. He is survived by his wife, Susan, sons, Jonathan and Jeffrey, grandson, Mitchell, brother, Joel Abramowitz, and nieces, Lori Abramowitz and Cindy Centrone. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at St. George's Episcopal Church, Germantown, TN. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. George's Episcopal Church, 2425 S.
