Edward Floyd Arrington, 80, of Phenix City, Alabama, died Thursday March 3, 2011 at his home. Memorial services with military honors will be held 2:00pm (EST) Wednesday March 9th in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Phenix City, AL. with the Reverend Phillip Camp officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Arrington was born January 21, 1931 in Columbus, Georgia, son of the late Junior Floyd Arrington and Annie Mae Causey Arrington. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a retired steelworker. He was a member of the Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shirley Arrington of Phenix City, sons and daughters-in-law, Niles and Mary Arrington, Junior and Michelle Arrington, Robbie and Suzanne Arrington, daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Stephen Ritz, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
