Elaine Estelle Abrams

Elaine Estelle Abrams passed away peacefully at her home in Stamford, CT on Friday, August 17th. She was 79 years old, just a month shy of her 80th birthday. She was surrounded by her family lovingly by her side. Elaine was born in Boston, MA, the only child of Harry & Mary Brown. She loved all from Boston, and even though married & raised her family in Yankee territory, stayed true to her beloved Red Sox. She had a real zest for life & people. She devoted herself to giving to others, and supported many charitable organizations. She retired as a Chapter 1 reading teacher for the Stamford Public Schools. Her passion was her family & friends. She was also an avid traveler, visiting all 7 continents. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Stuart Abrams; her daughter Harlee Richmond, son-in-law Jeffrey Richmond, grandchildren Madeline & Andrew, of Laurel Hollow, NY; and her daughter Tobi Serra, son-in-law Carlos Serra, grandchildren Eva & Javier of Old Greenwich, CT. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 20th at 11:00am at Temple Beth El located at 350 Roxbury Road in Stamford, CT.
