DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Elaine Verdin Boudreaux, age 71, at 11:00 am Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of The Lake Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm on Monday until service time on Tuesday; the funeral home will remain open all night. A rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7:00 pm.
A native Houma and resident of Grand Chenier, Mrs. Boudreaux passed away at 3:03 pm on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Boudreaux was known as a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved gardening, shopping and spending time with her family including working with her husband and always being at his side. She will be greatly missed by everyone who loved her.
She is survived by husband, Alfred Peter Boudreaux, Sr.; daughters, Maxine Boudreaux of Houma, Penny and husband Maurice Solet, Jr. of Delcambre, Alfredia Billiot and husband Brian of Erath; twin sister, Carolyn "Patsy" Verdin Billiot; grandchildren, Maurice"Moe" Solet, Jr., Cherice Solet, Allie Floris, Ace Billiot, Shantell Istre, Duce Billiot, Kylie Verdin, Janie Cortez, Riki Verdin and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oris and Emelda Verdin; son, Alfred P. "Moosey" Boudreaux, Jr.; brother, Curtis "Paput" Verdin and great grandson, Koen Parker Solet.
Pallbearers will be Maurice "Moe" Solet, Jr., Ace Billiot, Phil Floris, Michael Istre, Brett Broussard, Sabra Boudreaux, Jr., Riki Verdin and Curtis Stubblefield.
Duce Billiot will serve as honorary pallbearer.
