Elizabeth J. (Mehalko) Bahler, 88, of East Hartford, beloved wife for 50 years to the late Glenn C. Bahler, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, November 9, 2009 at her home. She was born in New Britain and had been a resident of the East Hartford community for over 60 years. She was a member of the South Windsor Congregation of Jehovah Witnesses. She enjoyed gardening and canning, but cherished the times she spent with her family. Mrs. Bahler is survived by her four daughters; Janet Wenis of East Hartford, Irene Schade of Vernon Deborah Griffith of New Salem, MA and Shirley Enders of Sandwich, MA. She also leaves a very special niece, Barbara Oswecki of Vernon. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to her Memorial Service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 640 Burnham St. South Windsor on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. The private interment service will be held at a later date.
