Elizabeth Aileen Barge, 105, of St. Matthews passed away Friday morning at her home. She was born April 4, 1905 to Bessie Jane Goodnight and Melvin Hayes Remsen in Sheridan, IN. She was the widow of G.B. Barge. A long time member of the Methodist Temple in Russellville, KY.
She is survived by her 2 loving daughters; Betty Starks and Shirley Davis (Jim) with whom she lived, her 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A service to celebrate the long life of Mrs. Barge will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, in the Chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Avenue, with burial on Monday at Noon E.S.T., at Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville, KY. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday.
