Elizabeth Emma Schievelbein passed away on the 5th of March, 2011 at the age of 81 years, 5 months and 3 days. She was born in Wilson County on October 2, 1929 to Albert and Hulda Lenz Schroeder.
Her many accomplishments include being president of the Seguin Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary and teaching Sunday School at Cross Evangelical Church for many years. She retired after working for Seguin State Bank.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Hugo; four daughters: Beverly Tyler and husband Toby, Kathy Hoffmann and husband Gary, Debbie Wright and husband Jimmy, Jean Sommer and husband Leroy; grandchildren: David Hoffmann, Tim Taylor, Dean Urbanski, Lee Wright, Brad Wright, and Jamie Hudson; great grandchildren: Ashley and Michael Taylor, Kara and Emily Hudson.
Visitation will be held at in the Chapel at Goetz Funeral Home on Monday, March 7th, from 5-9 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, March 8th, at Cross Church, 814 North Bauer Street in Seguin, TX 78155-3206, phone: (830) 379-4312. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
Serving as active pallbearers are Beverly Tyler, Kathy Hoffmann, Debbie Wright, Jean Sommer, David Hoffmann, Tim Taylor, Lee Wright, and Brad Wright, Honorary pallbearers are Jamie Hudson and Dean Urbanski.
