Elizabeth "Liz" Estelle Stonger, 27, of Lowell, passed away on October 14, 2012 in McDowell County, North Carolina. She was born in Syracuse, New York and is the daughter of Robert Stonger, Jr. and Deborah Grover.
Ms. Stonger attended University of North Carolina at Charlotte as a Geology Major. She was employed as a cashier at Wal-Mart, Belmont.
Ms. Stonger is survived by her son, Gabriel Stonger; father, Robert Stonger, Jr. of Oregon; mother, Deborah Grover of Lowell; three sisters, Amy Stonger of Gastonia, Sarah Stonger and Katie Stonger of Charlotte; two brothers, Robert Stonger III of Lowell, Christopher Stonger of Gastonia; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia with a Memorial Service to follow at 5:00 p.m. in The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Adams officiating.
Interment will be private and at a later date for the family.
