Elizabeth Morrah Trullinger, died March 20, 2014 at her home following a lengthy illness.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Elizabeth was born in Greensboro, N.C. as the only child to the late David Wardlaw and Patricia Turbiville Morrah.
She was a graduate of Grimsley High School and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her undergraduate and graduate degrees and "all but dissertation" in Romance Languages. She liked to call herself "the girl in the window" at Spanky's on Franklin Street. She worked for over 20 years at H.R. Block in her beloved Chapel Hill and retired in Greensboro to her family home. She enjoyed many projects including cooking, crafts and photo albums. She especially loved the Outer Banks and the Natural Bridge Hotel in Natural Bridge, VA. She loved words and excelled at the NY Times crossword puzzle, and Buzztime Trivia, especially Lexitopia, under her game name Tess, after "Tess of the D'Urbervilles." She was very generous to the many children in our circle of family and friends and hosted many dinner parties over the years. Her wit and personality will be missed by her many friends.
She is survived by her husband Alex and her cats.
