Ellen was born in Meelin, Co. Cork, Ireland on July 18, 1911, the daughter of the late Margaret (O'Callaghan) and Michael O'Connor.
Predeceased by her husband John William, her parents, four brothers and two sisters, Ellen is survived by her daughters: Marianne Hricay-Lewis (James) and Jane Ellen Gimblette- Merritt (William), son John Michael (Kim), grandchildren John William, Jim, John Andrew, Peter, Ted, Caitlin, Elizabeth, and Michael, and six great grandchildren. We are grateful for all of the joy and good influence Ellen gave us in her lifetime. She will be missed by all.
Calling hours will be from 9 to 11am on Monday November 19th at the Green Funeral Home 57 Main Street Danbury, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Edward the Confessor Church, New Fairfield at 11:30am. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY
